PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To profitably obtain a tread having a rolling a resistance reduced with minimizing the problems in production accompanied by using a silica as a reinforcing filler, besides having a good wear resistance and a good wet- side-slip resistance. SOLUTION: A vulcanizable rubber compsn. for vehicle tire treads, contains (a) a base material of a crosslinkable, unsatd. chain polymer contg. 1-40 phr of an unsatd. chain modified polymer having at least one kind of a polar group; (b) 15-100 phr of a reinforcing filler of a silica having at least one kind of a surface hydroxyl group; (c) 0.5-5 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of the silica reinforcing filler, of at least one kind of a sufur-contg., vulcanized network structure stabilizer; and (d) an effective amt. of at least one kind of vulcanizing agents. |
