PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a postfoaming transparent soln. which is free from phase separation and is useful for a shampoo, etc., by using a surfactant system comprising an ampholytic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, a volatile hydrocarbon solvent, water, and a polyalkylene oxide block copolymer surfactant. SOLUTION: A postfoaming soln. or gel useful as a cleanser or a shampoo is obtd. by using a surfactant system comprising an ampholytic surfactant as the main surfactant and an anionic surfactant as an optional ingredient, a volatile hydrocarbon solvent, water, and a polyalkylene oxide block copolymer surfactant. The volatile hydrocarbon solvent is selected from among n-pentane, isopentane, 1-6C alkyl ethers, and their mixtures and is caused to be present in an amt. of about 1-7 wt.% of the compsn. An active component selected from among triclosan, chlorohexylidene gluconate, and salicylic acid can also be incorporated. |
