PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a somatocompressor into tight contact with the body, such as the waist, the neck or the back, by suitable hardness and elasticity and to apply pressure to the body in follow up to the movement and form change of the body by specifying the compressive hardness of an object constituting a main body within a range of specific values and specifying the repulsive elasticity thereof within a range of specific values. SOLUTION: This somatocompressor 1 comprises the main body 2 of a three- dimensional shape which has the moderate hardness and moderate elasticity, an elastic covering layer 3 which covers the main body 2, suppresses the deformation to bulge to the circumference of the portion receiving load and maintains the elasticity of the main body 2 when the main body 2 receives this load and a surface coating material 4 which encloses the elastic covering layer 3 for the purpose of surface touch and beauty. The main body 2 is formed of a resin foam of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane, etc., of 10 to 90 times in expansion magnification having elasticity or a polypropylene foam of 20 to 60 times in expansion magnification. The compressive hardness of the main body 2 is set within the range of 0.5 to 1.2 kg/cm2 (JIS K 6767) and the repulsive elasticity thereof within the range of 30 to 50% (ASTM D 1564).
