摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return oil in a valve system chamber to a crank chamber while intending weight reduction and compactness of an engine by eliminating necessity for an exclusive oil passage of the engine, which is equipped with a plurality of cylinder bores almost horizontally placing an axial line to be provided with a transmitting mechanism between a cam shaft arranged in the valve system chamber and a crankshaft. SOLUTION: Transmitting mechanisms 68L, 68R which are formed by winding endless chains 71L, 71R to drive sprockets 69L, 69R fixed to one end of a crankshaft 29 and driven sprockets 70L, 70R fixed to one end of cam shafts 46L, 46R, are stored in transmitting chambers 72L, 72R making one end communicate with valve system chambers 61L, 61R and also making axial direction one end of the crankshaft 29 appear in the other end. Return holes 85 making the other end lower part of the transmitting chambers 72L, 72R communicate with a crank chamber is provided in crankcases 27L, 27R.
