PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reduction gear of a washing machine for driving a pulsator rotatably disposed in a washing vessel, wherein even if a motor torque is increased corresponding to increasing of an amount of laundry, a service life is not decreased by damaging of a planetary gear, and the reduction gear is not large-sized and does not generate much noise, and costs and a weight are not increased. SOLUTION: An input of a gear shaft 11 for transmitting a motor output is reduced in speed by a gear unit 24 comprising a planetary gear 24a and an internal gear 24b, and an output of the gear unit 24 is transmitted to a plusator 2 disposed on a bottom of a washing/hydroextracting vessel 1 through a washing shaft 14. The planetary gear 24a of the gear unit 24 is comprised of a gear tooth part 24f and a general cylindrical shaft part 24e, wherein the gear tooth part 24f is composed of a high-strength and high viscosity resin molding, and the general cylindrical shat part 24e is formed of a resin molding which slides well and has high lubricating properties.
