PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building method of an arched roof for a carport in which the roof can be executed in arch shape even when a straight member is used for a beam supported by a stay. SOLUTION: A straight beam 3 is supported by a stay 1, several spacers 7a of different height at every position where purlius are placed so that the height is higher at a center part are erected, a roof plate is stretched on arch- like rafters placed on and coupled with the spacers 7a, and held by a rafter cover, and the roof plate is installed in an arch shape according to the difference in height of the spacers 7a, 7b. Since the arched roof is built by using the straight beam, an inexpensive carport can be provided, its design can also be improved, the straight beam can be stably supported by the stay to provide a structure easy to withstand the load which is suitable for building the carport in a snowy area.
