A contact sensor connected to the front part or mantle surface of the rear charge (3) is used to detonate the rear charge. A munition in the form of a shell (1) or the like comprises at least two active sections (19, 20) arranged one behind the other in the axial direction, and a delay device. A first active section (19) is in the front of the shell and contains a charge (2) and sensor (4), and a second active section (20) in the rear of the shell is also provided with a charge and sensor (5). At least one charge to the rear of the front charge is detonated following a pre-determined time delay after the sensor in the front charge has registered an impact. The sensor provided in one of the rear charges comprises a contact sensor connected to the front part of the active section and/or its mantle surface.
