OPEN/CLOSE VALVE STRUCTURE FOR VERTICALLY MOVABLE WICK OIL BURNING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an open/close valve structure for relieving a rise in internal pressure of an oil tank when a wick is lowered for extinguishing fire in a vertically movable wick oil burning apparatus. SOLUTION: A wick outer cylinder 3 having a wick 5 installed therein in a freely slidable manner is provided in an oil tank 1 and a vent hole for allowing a gas within the oil tank to escape outside when the wick 5 is lowered for extinguishing fire is provided in a top plate of the oil tank 1, and a lid 8 having a leg part 8b protruding inwardly of the oil tank 1 is placed in the vent hole 7. An outer diameter of the top plate 8a of the lid 8 is larger than the vent hole 7 so as to close the vent hole 7 and an engagement part 8d protruding outside from an inner periphery of the vent hole 7 is provided at a tip end of the leg part 8b so that the open/close valve structure for relieving an internal pressure within the oil tank through the opening 8c by lifting the lid 8 when the internal pressure within the oil tank 1 rises is constituted.
