Fingerprint reader. It is made up of a lighting system based on LEDs and a diffuser plate 1, a sensing prism 2 which has a fine film of acrylic adhesive and a set of mirrors 3, 4, 5 which are used to transmit the image of the fingerprint to the lens 6, behind which there is an electronic reading device 7 where the image is created with lateral inversion. A suitable inclination of the electronic reading device prevents loss of quality at the ends of the fingerprint. An ergonomic casing with a cast aluminium base, with a significant weight and adherent legs, ensures that the reader does not slip. It is designed to be used as a component of a biometric control system which transmits the video signal to a computer (PC) which has a digitizer card and in turn has access to fingerprint libraries. <IMAGE> |
