METHOD FOR EXTENDING GRADATION OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A method for extending gradation of liquid crystal is provided to eliminate the flickering and howling of picture shown on the existing FRC(Frame Rate Control) by displaying many gradations using a large quantity of data bit with a small quantity of data bit. CONSTITUTION: Pixels inside a panel are appointed as one group(s100). Whole pixels are divided into a plurality of groups(s200). 3 blocks in one group are appointed with 4 pixels per one block(s300). 8 bit data signals are inputted from a timing generation part(s400). Higher level 6 bits among the 8 bit data signals judge a reference gradation(s500). Lower level 2 bits among the 8 bit data signals judge a variable gradation(s600). Each gradation of pixels are set by using the reference gradations and the variable gradation(s700). Whether all the gradations of pixels are set is judged(s800). A relevant picture is displayed in a frame(s900) in case that all the gradations of pixels are set. Whether the pictures of total 4 frames are displayed is judged(s1000). Each gradation of blocks are controlled as the gradation is shifted(s1100).
