PURPOSE: A defrosting apparatus by using a porous plate in an air conditioner is provided to prevent excessive frosting of an evaporator and excessive humidity in a refrigerating chamber by removing humidity of a refrigerant primarily by attaching a porous plate in a suction duct to be cooled by a defrosting tube connected to the evaporator. CONSTITUTION: A defrosting apparatus by using a porous plate in an air conditioner including an evaporator(3) for cooling a circulating refrigerant, a blowing fan(9) for forcibly circulating the cooled refrigerant to a refrigerating chamber(5) and a freezing chamber(7), a suction duct(11) for drawing the refrigerant from the refrigerating chamber, and a discharge duct(13) for discharging the refrigerant into the refrigerating chamber, includes a porous plate(20) in the shape of a plane plate formed with a plurality of defrosting holes(23) having a smaller diameter and mounted on a bottom surface of the suction duct, a defrosting tube for cooling(21) connected to the evaporator on a bottom surface of the porous plate for maintaining a temperature of 0 to 1°C and attached on a whole front surface of the porous plate.
