PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display device panel is provided to reduce a polishing time by cutting a shorting bar after polishing the shorting bar on the basis of a metal film pattern. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display device panel comprises the steps of: forming metal film patterns(17,19) between a gate line pad(7) and a shorting bar(13) and between a data line pad(9) and the shorting bar(15); and polishing the shorting bars(13,15) on the basis of the metal film patterns(17,19) to cut the metal film patterns(17,18). The metal film patterns are formed in parallel with the shorting bars. When cutting the shorting bars(13,15) in a polishing step of the liquid crystal display device panel, a cutting margin corresponds to a gap between the shorting bars and the pads.
