PURPOSE: A level converter is provided to reduce a current consumption generated by a current path by intercepting the current path between a power supply voltage and a ground voltage during an interruption of electric power. CONSTITUTION: A level converter converts a first power supply voltage level of an input signal into a second power supply voltage level higher than the first voltage level, and comprises an input terminal(100) receiving the input signal and an output terminal(300) outputting an output signal having the second power supply voltage level. A PMOS transistor(PM1) transfers charges corresponding to the second power supply voltage to the output terminal according to a voltage level of the input signal. An NMOS transistor(NM1) discharges the charges on the output terminal according to a voltage level of the input signal. charge parts(PM2, NM2) charges the gate of the PMOS transistor with the second power supply voltage according to a voltage level of the output terminal.
