PURPOSE: A toggle flip-flop circuit is provided to obtain high-speed operation with reduced power consumption by outputting two input signals with opposite polarity to the first and second nodes, latching signals from the first and second nodes, and latching an inversion signal from the first node. CONSTITUTION: A comparison amplifier is controlled by an externally applied clock signal(CLK) to differentially amplify two input signals(Q,/Q) with opposite polarity and output the signals(Q,/Q) to first and second nodes(N1,N2). The first latch(20) latches the signals(Q,/Q) from the first and second nodes(N1,N2) by the clock signal(CLK). The second latch(30) is connected between the first and second nodes(N1,N2) and an output terminal to latch an inversion signal from the first node(N1) according to the logic of the second node(N2). A plurality of transfer gates and inverters are removed.
