PURPOSE: An apparatus and metod for displaying system condition in a computer is provided to easily discriminate a system condition by controlling a system condition display LED according to the system condition. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer(200) receives system information from a system condition managing unit(270) and senses the system condition from system information, and generates a control signal for controlling an LED corresponding to the system condition. A plurality of system condition display LED(250) responds the control signal of the microcomputer(200) and is turned on as one shape among predetermined turn-on shapes. The system condition managing unit manages the system condition in a computer system. A CPU performs a system BIOS and checks the system condition, and transmits the check result as system information to the microcomputer(200).
