PURPOSE: A propeller shaft protector is provided to prevent breakage of the propeller shaft by preventing an irrational torque from hanging and to remove an accident by protecting an engine. CONSTITUTION: Clearance of a propeller shaft(10) of a large truck is detected in four portions by a GAB sensor(9) and torque of the propeller shaft is detected by a torque-measuring unit. An ECU(Electronic Control Unit) operates discharge air brake system according to a torque measure signal and a GAB measure signal outputted from a GAB measure unit and the torque measure unit. Then, the ECU drives a magnetic valve(15) to reduce speed through decreasing movement of a pneumatic cylinder(17) by stopping air supply from an air tank(16). Thereby, breakage of the propeller shaft is prevented by not generating an irrational torque through reducing the speed.
