PURPOSE: An adjustable spindle is provided to keep the high accuracy of rotation of a spindle main shaft by producing a head of the spindle main shaft in an adjustable type. CONSTITUTION: An adjustable spindle comprises a spindle main shaft(130) having a hollow portion rotated by a drive motor(120); a spindle(180) rotated with the main shaft(130), of which front end is exposed through a front end of the spindle main shaft; a head(140) having a through hole penetrated by the front end of the spindle(180); and a collet(150) inserted in the through hole of the head and prepared with a through hole penetrated by the spindle. The head is prepared with a position adjuster for adjusting the relative position of the central shaft of the through hole of the collet to the central shaft of the spindle. In the adjustable spindle, a bolt(160) for connection is inserted in the front end of the spindle main shaft. The collet is inserted in the head and a pin gauge is fixed in the collet. A rotational error is confirmed while a speedometer for measurement is contacted to the pin gauge and rotated. Then shaking is reduced to zero by adjusting the center through a bolt(170) fixed on the circumference of the head.
