PURPOSE: A method for transmitting/receiving a broadcast message of a short message broadcast service reduces a power consumption of a mobile station in a short message broadcast service using periodic broadcast paging defined in IS-637. CONSTITUTION: A method for transmitting/receiving a broadcast message of a short message broadcast service transmits a corresponding short message broadcast service according to a predetermined service order for a certain broadcast calling period through a calling channel. The method receives a corresponding short broadcast message corresponding to a predetermined service among short message broadcast messages. Thereby, the method does not receive unnecessary broadcast service reduces a power consumption of a mobile station during a corresponding broadcast calling period. |
