PURPOSE: A shock absorbing device is provided to promote the safety of a passenger by absorbing a shock on side-on collision. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing device is comprised of a cylinder(110) fixed toward the other side panel from one side panel of a door, a membrane(120) for forming a hermetic space where a viscosity fluid is sealed, installed on the inner side of the cylinder and an operation pin(130) for forming a penetration hole in the membrane so the viscosity to move the viscosity fluid to the other side space. Accordingly, the shock is absorbed since the fluid of a first hermetic space(112) moves to a second hermetic space(114).
