PURPOSE: A preserving process is provided, using chitosan and/or chitooligosaccharide having antibiotic force against bacteria or mold, which cause no harm a human body. CONSTITUTION: Chitosan and/or chitooligosacchride are mixed with pure water, and a preserving solution is produced by adding up a polyhydroxy compound and so on to the mixed pure water. A produced separation ion film or its module is sufficiently soaked in the preserving solution and is taken out to remove the remaining preserving solution. Then an after-treatment process such as wrapping and so on is passed. Herein, it is desirable to use chitosan having more than 20,000 of molecular weight. In addition, in this case, it is water-insoluble so that it is desirable to be used by dissolving in an organic acid aqueous solution under pH6 or to be used in a shape of water-soluble acid chloride. Furthermore, 0.01 to 3.00wt% of its concentration is desirable.
