PURPOSE: Air discharge structure is provided to prevent an engine from overheating and to enhance cooling performance by increasing air discharge effect through arranging a shutter type opening hole overlapped in plural with thin films at an air discharge hole of a thermostat housing. CONSTITUTION: A thermostat housing(51) formed with an air discharge hole(51a) is defined for discharging collected air inside the thermostat(50) toward a radiator. And a shutter type opening hole(60) having thin films be overlapped is prepared for opening and closing the air discharge hole, established outside of the thermostat housing. The shutter type opening hole(60) is open when internal air is discharged and while cooling water is flowed reversely from the radiator, the hole is closed, with being overlapped in a conical shape and connected with a hinge(65) to be rotatable around the thermostat housing(51). Accordingly, during air discharge inside of the thermostat housing, an overlapped portion upon the hinge is open and under cooling water countercurrent from the radiator side, the overlapped portion folds to be closed off.
