PURPOSE: An RF transceiver driving amplifier and a method of designing the driving amplifier are provided which employs cascode-connected FETs instead of a feedback circuit to obtain a wide gain control range and high stability. CONSTITUTION: An RF transceiver driving amplifier includes an input part(10), a gain control part(20), and an output part(30). The input part has an RF input port(11), a grounding pad(12) placed at both sides of the RF input port, the first FET connected to one side of the RF input port, the first capacitor and the first inductor for maximizing the gain of the gain control part, the second inductor connected to the source of the first FET to smooth a variation in frequency caused by a bias voltage, and a grounding pad set at one side of the first inductor. The gain control part includes the second and third FETs in cascode mode for improving stability and output efficiency, an input terminal matching unit(21) for maximizing the gain of the gain control part, an output terminal matching unit(22) for blocking current and feeding current, the fifth inductor connected to one end of the second FET, a DC control signal input port(23) for receiving a DC control signal output from a voltage regulator inside a terminal, and the third capacitor for receiving the bias voltage of the third FET. The output part includes an RF output port(31), a grounding pad(32) placed at both sides of the RF output port, the fourth FET connected to one side of the RF output port, the fifth capacitor and the ninth inductor for blocking current and feeding current, the eighth inductor for smoothing a variation in frequency, and a grounding pad located at one side of the ninth inductor.
