PURPOSE: A coaxial type reciprocating engine is provided to improve the durability by supplying a cooling device and a lubricating system to an engine. CONSTITUTION: A coaxial type reciprocating engine is composed of; an inner and an outer fixed disks(248,260) supporting a rotary disc valve(250); a fixed disk(246) for rotors to cover both sides of a rotor(230); a cooling unit to prevent pistons(232a-232d) from being overheated by the combustion heat transferred from plural combustion chambers(224) supplied by a couple of stators(225a-225d); a lubricating unit for feeding lubricant to a friction contact element such as the pistons(232a-232d); and a sealing unit to prevent the compressed air in the combustion chamber from being exhausted to outside. The compression efficiency and the cooling performance of the engine are improved by forming a water jacket to the stator.
