INK JET PRINTER HEAD USING MEMBRANE

PURPOSE: An ink jet print head is provided to optimize lateral size of a membrane in an ink jet print head using a membrane formed by a thin film. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet print head comprises a heating unit(314) and a membrane(319). The heating unit is formed by a resister for heating a working liquid supplied via a working liquid path(320) with electrical energy applied from the exterior. For a surface ratio more than 1:2 of the resister to the membrane, the membrane has a side forming a lateral dimension, of which length is more than twice the length of another side. The membrane is deformed in accordance with the pressure of the working liquid while supplying ink supplied through an ink supply hole(324). According to optimal ratio of the lateral size, ink is jetted in accordance with a required amount.
