摘要 PURPOSE: A microprocessor having a divided cache memory and a method for accessing a memory is provided to improve a cache memory hit ratio by performing a data load and a store command, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor having a divided cache memory comprises a CPU core(110), a load cache(130), an update cache(140), a first comparator(150), a second comparator(160), a selector(170), and a multiplexer(180). The CPU core generates a load command and a store command and performs an operation for a loaded data. The load cache outputs a data of a corresponding address to the CPU core according to a load command. The update cache performs a replacement of the data. The first comparator and the second comparator compare a memory address to a tag corresponding to each block. The selector outputs a selecting signal. The multiplexer outputs selectively the data stored in the load cache and the data stored in the update cache.
