PURPOSE: A method for treating the surface of an aluminum wheel for automobile is provided to reduce costs for the surface treatment which is the pre-step costs required in plating by coating the surface of the aluminum wheel so as to obtain the same effects as the polishing treatment, and then dry plating the coated surface of the aluminum wheel. CONSTITUTION: In a method for treating the surface of an aluminum wheel for automobile comprising the processes of preparing a plate shaped aluminum ingot; press casting processing the ingot into a wheel shape, and passing through surface grinding and cutting process, washing, drying, heat treating processes; and dry plating the coated surface of the wheel after coating the surface of the heat treated wheel, wherein the dry plating is carried out by selecting one plating from silver white Cr plating, gold TiN plating or brown TiCN plating, and a transparent plating is again carried out on the dry plated surface of the aluminum wheel.
