PURPOSE: A circular buffer is provided to reduce a chip area of the buffer by generating an address without using a comparator. CONSTITUTION: A circular buffer comprises a storage part and an address generating part. The storage part for storing data is divided into a plurality of unit blocks, each of which is discontinuously assigned by a predetermined size among an address region from an MSB address and an LSB address. The address generating part makes an address for indexing the storage part. The data stored in the unit blocks is sequentially circulated without comparing the MSB address and the address from the address generating part.
