PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving system information of a call channel is provided to enable a base station and a terminal not considered on a standard to transmit and receive system information. CONSTITUTION: In a method for transmitting and receiving system information of a call channel, a timing boundary is obtained whenever an interrupt message is generated by an interval of 0.02 second(S1). When the timing boundary is between 0 to 4, it is sent(S2). If the timing boundary is over 4, a transfer flag is checked(S4). If a state of the transfer flag is not '1', system information is transferred(S5). If the state of the transfer flag is '1', it is reset to '0'(S6). If the timing boundary is not between 0 to 4, the system information is ignored(S10). If the timing boundary is not 4, the transfer flag is checked(S7). If the state of the transfer flag is '1', the information is ignored(S10). If the state of the transfer flag is not '1', there is checked whether a call message exists(S8). If the call message exists, the information is ignored(S10). If the call message does not exist, the system information is transferred, and the state of the transfer flag is reset to '1'.
