VIDEO TELECONFERENCE SYSTEM USING ATM NETWORK

PURPOSE: A video conference system using an asynchronous transmission mode exchange network is provided to offer a bidirectional CATV service by connecting a CATV network and a server for video conference to an ATM exchange network, and by providing a subscriber device which connects an RT device to a TV and a camera. CONSTITUTION: A CATV network(100) offers a CATV service by way of a CATV system. A server for video conference(200) provides data for a video conference and manages a subscriber and a video conference system. The first optical transmission device(300) and the second optical transmission device(400) respectively connect the CATV network(100) and the server(200) to an ATM exchange network(500). The ATM exchange network(500) performs an ATM switching of CATV service data or the data for the video conference. The third optical transmission device(600) connects the ATM exchange network(500) to an RT device(700). The RT device(700) outputs an upward signal to the ATM exchange network(500) through the third optical transmission device(600). A subscriber device(800) extracts video data and audio data from a downward signal converted from the RT device(700).
