VCR/REMOTE CONTROLLER APPARATUS HAVING FAILURE DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A VCR/remote controller apparatus having failure diagnosis function is provided to conveniently perform an after-service when occurring a failure by displaying a failure of a VCR set and a failure part of a remote controller on the remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(11) has a VCR self-diagnosis key, a memo key and various function keys. A remote controller microcomputer(12) sets a code value corresponding to the self-diagnosis key of the key input unit(11) when inputting the key input unit(11), and outputs a control signal. A remote controller transmitting unit(13) receives the control signal of the remote controller microcomputer(12) and transmits each function instruction signal to a VCR set. A remote controller receiving unit(14) receives the control signal of the remote controller microcomputer(12) and transmits data of the self-diagnosis result from the VCR set. An LCD display unit(15) receives the control signal of the remote controller microcomputer(12) and displays the self-diagnosis result. A memory unit(16) receives the control signal of the remote controller microcomputer(12) and stores the self-diagnosis result.
