PURPOSE: A device is to drive off birds trying to land or nest on an electric pole or its traverse arm fixture and prevent any interruption of power service from an accident caused by birds. CONSTITUTION: The device(1) has a ring band fixture(6) provided with a groove or rail(9) on it and a revolving body(4) of a cylindrical form fitting round the pole(20) and having many arc fins(3) attached to its outer wall having at the lower end a sloped round shade(2) for roofing a traverse arm fixture(30). The body(4) also has on its inner wall roller bearings(7) held with bracket(8) to run on the rail(9) for rotation round the pole for driving off birds approaching the pole. A lid(5) covers the space(10) between the fixture(6) and the body(4) that revolves by wind blow against fins. |
