STREPTOMYCES SP. 8321 STRAINS HAVING DEMULSION PROPERTY AND SEPARATING METHOD OF OIL USING THE STRAINS

PURPOSE: Streptomyces sp. 8321 strains having emulsion property and method for separating oil from an emulsion liquid by destroying an emulsion using the strains are provided which can be achieved in high yield promptly and prevent environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: Streptomyces sp. 8321 strains(KCTC 0518BP) having demulsion property and a method for separating oil from an oil-in-water emulsion liquid using the same are provided. The method comprises mixing a spore solution of the strains with waste water or the emulsion generated from polluted soil by oil and separating by destroying the emulsion. The Streptomyces sp. 8321 strains are quick in its effect on separating(diminish to half in volume within 1 min) and enable to achieve more than 95% recovery.
