PURPOSE: A method which searches a desired page in a page menu, changes a teletext mode to the desired page, and viewing a current screen for a searching time is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a method for changing a teletext mode of a television receiver, it is judged whether a teletext key is in a turn-on state when the television receiver and a main power thereof are in a turn-on state. When the teletext key is in a turn-on state, a page menu is displayed wherein the page menu is a plurality of pages. It is judged whether a desired menu among the displayed menus is selected. When the desired menu is selected, the teletext mode is changed to a desired page. It is judged whether a teletext mode is in a turn-off state.
