PURPOSE: A starting device of a vehicle engine is provided to previously prevent the state of start impossibility by preventing the damage by a fire of a start motor and the abrasion of a ring gear after preventing the restart even if a driver shifts a key switch to a start position when the frequency of engine rotation is bigger than the lowest number of engine rotation. CONSTITUTION: If a user shifts a key switch(110) to a start position, the number of rotation of an engine is sensed by receiving the frequency of engine rotation from the tachometer(52) of a vehicle gauge plate or a neutral point of an electromagnetic coil of a generator. Herein, power is fed to a start motor only when the sensed number of rotation is lower than the previously set up number of engine rotation. Therefore, even if a driver shifts the key switch to the start position, it is possible to prevent the restart in a state that the engine is started so that the state of start impossibility is previously prevented by preventing the damage of a start motor(90) and the abrasion of a ring gear(101).
