PURPOSE: A device for switching fast forward is provided to reduce the number of components for reducing operation load applied to a switching lever, and to firmly operate fast forward through preventing slid between an idler gear and a switching gear. CONSTITUTION: An idler unit is elevated by a switching arm for selectively transferring rotational force transferred by a driving instrument(13) to reel assemblies. The idler unit is formed by an idler arm(60) contacted to an interlocking protrusion of the switching arm for being inserted to a shaft on a chassis(1), an idler gear(65) on one side of the idler arm by interposing a spring and a rub frictional member, and a pulley gear(70) inserted to the shaft for being driven by the driving instrument. By elevation of the idler arm, a clutch gear or a switching gear of clutch assemblies(20T,20S) is selectively engaged with the pulley gear.
