PURPOSE: A rubber composition for an inner liner of a vehicular tire obtained by incorporating thermal carbon black having a small surface area and a low structure into conventional inner liner rubber compositions is provided, which has remarkably improved air permeability resistance. CONSTITUTION: This rubber composition is characterized in that it is obtained by incorporating thermal carbon black into conventional inner liner rubber composition comprising butyl rubber, natural rubber, N-660, stearic acid, zinc oxide, oil, sulfur and a vulcanization accelerator. The thermal carbon black has an I2NO of 7.0, DBPA of 34.7 and a tint strength of 15.9.
