APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY SENSING POLLUTION OF WHITE REFERENCE UNIT

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for automatically sensing pollution of white reference unit is provided to scan a same picture with an original paper by automatically sensing a pollution of a white panel or a white roller. CONSTITUTION: A controller(150) reads a white reference level from a white reference unit(11) through a picture input sensor(120) before the white reference unit(110) is polluted and stores the read white reference level in a storage(140). The controller(150) revises a read original paper image and outputs the outer through a picture output(160). An analog/digital converter(130) converts an analog signal inputted from the picture input sensor(120) into a digital signal and transmits the digital signal to the controller(150). The controller(150) periodically reads a white reference level from the white reference unit(110) and compares the read white reference level with the white reference level stored in the storage(140), and then informs the pollution of the white reference unit(110) through a voice output(17) when a difference over a uniform level is occurred.
