PURPOSE: A vane pump is provided to obtain a high pressure compressed air from a simple configuration while avoiding noise caused by a collision during air compression. CONSTITUTION: A central shaft receiving portion(31) for receiving rotational force from an external source has a space(32) with a fixing aperture(33). A constant velocity coupling(34) has at an end thereof a fixing rod(35) which is inserted into the fixing aperture formed at the space of the central shaft receiving portion, and at the other end thereof a fixing rod(36) which is inserted into a fixing aperture(39) formed at a space(38) of an inner rotor(37). A ring-shaped clamp(41) having an open side is inserted into a hole(40) formed at the inner rotor, in such a manner that air-tightness is maintained by an apex seal(42). A shoe(43) has a curved groove(44) to which an end of the clamp surface-contacts, and a linear surface(45) to which a vane(47) of an outer rotor(46) contacts.
