PROCESS FOR PREPARING CARBON FIBER AND ITS DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE: Provided are a continuous manufacturing method of a vapor phase grown carbon fiber and the equipment thereof, which are characterized by being put to practical use owing to doing mass production, and being possible to produce a high quality carbon fiber. CONSTITUTION: The equipment is comprised of: a reactor(20) installed to an inert gas supply pipe(16') and a reacting gas exhaust tube(18) in a body and set in an electric furnace(22); a raw material supply pipe(15) connected with the one side of the reactor(20); a catalyst supply pipe(10) which is set on the upper part of the raw material supply pipe(15) and is connected with a raw material gas pipe(17), supplying a proper catalyst at regular intervals; a vacuum pipe(21) connected with a cyclone(23) and set on the center of the reactor(20); a vacuum pump(26) connected with the cyclone(23); and a storage tank(24) which is connected with the cyclone(23), collecting the produced carbon fiber. The carbon fiber is obtained by supplying a fresh catalyst to the reactor repeatedly, followed by reacting to produce the carbon fiber.
