PURPOSE: An electron gun for a color cathode ray tube is provided to prevent a blazing fire of a resolution in a circumference of a screen by correcting a non-grade difference of vertical and horizontal directions according to deflection amount of an electron beam. CONSTITUTION: Three electrode section includes an anode(9) for producing an electron beam, a control electrode(10) for controlling the electron beam, and an accelerating electrode(11) for previously accelerating the electron beam. A main lens includes a plurality of focusing electrodes(17,18,24,25) and a cathode(26) for forming an electrostatic in order to focus and accelerate the electron beam from the three electrode section. The first focusing electrode(17) is installed facing to the accelerating electrode(11). Three electron beam thruholes are formed at the first focusing electrode(17). A block(27) is arranged at a surface facing to the second focusing electrode(18).
