PURPOSE: An operational resistance reducible brush of a vacuum cleaner constructed in rotary variable manner in order to increase the conveniency in operation as well as to remove dust in efficient way is provided. CONSTITUTION: A brush(37) of a vacuum cleaner(30) is installed to the main body,particularly to the rear side of the main body in a rotatable manner and its one end side is elastically supported by a spring member such as a torsion spring(38) for recovery force. Due to the elastic force from the spring member, appropriate amount of power is applied to the brush so that it can efficiently sweep dusts with rotation on the surface to be cleaned, especially on carpet as the vacuum cleaner moves forward, without interfering the function of adjusting an air flowed from the rear side of a suction port(33) and the resistance when the vacuum cleaner is operated can be reduced significantly.
