PURPOSE: An optical fiber amplifier equipped with a gain flatness monitoring and controller is provided to easily measure and determine a pa RAMeter by monitoring and controlling an Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier(EDFA). CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber amplifier equipped with a gain flatness monitoring and controller comprises an optical fiber, a pumping device, an input device, an output device, a device for obtaining an exploring beam having various wave length, a device for amplifying the exploring beam, a difference device, and a controller. The optical fiber transmits an amplified optical signal. The pumping device is connected to the optical fiber. The input device receives a multiple wave length signal. The output device receives the amplified optical signal. The device for obtaining the exploring beam obtains the exploring beam having various wave length. The amplifier amplifies the exploring beam. The difference device differentiates the exploring beam. The controller provides the differentiated amount as a pa RAMeter of the pumping device.
