PURPOSE: An air cushion is provided to reduce a shock acted to a passenger by making gas pressure generated in a process that the air bag is spread equally act in the cushion and buffering the shock affecting the passenger through a fixing line for fixing a tether in the cushion. CONSTITUTION: An air bag installed with an initial spread regulation plate of a cushion is comprised of a controller(26) for regulating the pressure of gas flowed in an inflation unit and a spread regulation plate(28) integrally prepared with a tear seam for cutting the front face by regular pressure. Herein, the passenger is safely protected since the tear seam is cut in a state that some part of the gas having high pressure at the beginning is flowed in the inflation unit(18b) through a vent hole(30) of a chamber(28), the gas is flowed in between the cut tear seam, and the initial pressure is decreased.
