PURPOSE: A high resolution charge coupled device(CCD) capable of producing an image of a high resolution in spite of using a CCD having a small number of pixels is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a high resolution charge couple device, a charge coupled device takes a picture with respect to a subject. A camera lens(10) controls an operation of the charge coupled device. A glass flat plate(30) is located between charge coupled device and the camera lens(10). The glass flat plate(30) refracts an incident ray from the camera lens(10) at a predetermined angle. A glass flat plate angel controller controls an angle of the glass flat plate(30) so that a pixel of a subjected taken by the charge coupled device is deviated by 1/2 pixel every two fields.
