PURPOSE: A ferrite core of a magnetic field deflection device for a cathode ray tube is provided to correct a screen error by using a coil distribution of a deflection yoke. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of cutting grooves are located at a front end peripheral surface of a ferrite core by 0 through 45° with respect to a horizontal axis of the ferrite core. The plurality of cutting grooves include predetermined intervals among one another. The plurality of cutting grooves are axially symmetrical with respect to a central axis of the ferrite core. Each of the plurality of cutting grooves has a U shape. Each of the plurality of cutting grooves is formed at an end of an electron gun of the ferrite core. A plurality of pieces are formed at a front end periphery of the ferrite core to have a groove having a predetermined interval.
