OPTICAL SYSTEM OF AMA AND PROJECTION METHOD BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An actuated mirror array optical system and projection method thereof are provided to correct to maintain the linearity between a driving voltage and a tilting angle while driving an AMA module by using a glass-coated source stop(113). CONSTITUTION: When an image signal voltage is applied to actuators of an AMA module(118), the respective mirrors of the AMA module(118) are not vibrated or tilted so that the light is escaped from a projection stop(120) and does not reach a screen. When a signal voltage less than maximum voltage is applied to actuators of the AMA module(118), the respective mirrors of the AMA module(118) are tilted so that one portion of the light is reflected by the projection stop(120) and the other portion of the light passes through the aperture of the projection stop(120). When a maximum signal voltage is applied to actuators of the AMA module(118), the respective mirrors of the AMA module(118) are completely tilted so that the light irradiated on the AMA module(118) passes through the aperture of the projection stop(120). The flux of the light passing through the aperture of the projection stop(120) is controlled by the direction of the respective mirrors of the AMA module(118) on the projection stop(120).
