An internal communication interface is installed in the read only memory of the card and includes message sending and receiving commands. In first and second stages (A,B) an information message (MSG) causes a transmitting attribute to be allocated to a first identified application and a receiving attribute to be allocated to a second application. Data exchange (C) takes place when the first application sends a message (MSG) to the second.
