A sample of a food product that is liable to be spoiled by heat, e.g. a wrapped square of chocolate or portion of butter, is placed on a saucer (3) under a cup (4) containing a hot liquid by means of a support (1) of a thermal insulation material e.g. cardboard. The support is made from a cut and folded flat card panel and has a sloping display surface (1b) for the sample and folded side flaps held together by a base flap with tabs fitting into side apertures.
