The machine tool for machining of a rectilinear tube end (1) by a milling tool (10) with a machining head (12) is fixed by an expandable mandrel in the tube end. A clevis (11) fixes the tool on the machine in a position in which the machining head projects outside the clevis to contact the end. A clevis pivot (5,6) pivots the clevis along an axis orthogonal to the longitudinal axis (XX'). A machining head guide limits the feed of the head into the edge of the tube.
