PURPOSE: A system for controlling hydraulic pressure in an automatic transmission minimizes and simplifies the flowing passage of a valve body and improves fuel efficiency by minimizing the driving loss of an oil pump. CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling hydraulic pressure uses three-way solenoid valve controlling three hydraulic pressures for controlling each frictional element independently and releases the operation of one frictional element while controlling the other frictional element in a state of fixing another frictional element for changing speed. Also, the size of a solenoid valve is reduced by lowering the operational standard of the solenoid valve for simplifying the flowing passage in a valve body. And a certain part of hydraulic pressure supplied to the frictional element while shifting between third and fourth step adjusts line pressure for minimizing the driving loss of an oil pump to improve fuel efficiency.
